Abstract
The formation of the phase composition, the texture, and the residual stresses in the V-1469 alloy joint (Al–Cu–Li system) fabricated by friction stir welding is studied. A numerical correlation between the phase composition, the hardness, and the residual stresses in various zones and sections of the welded joint is found
