О происхождении аргасовых клещей (Parasitiformes, Ixodoidea, Argasidae)

Аннотация
Происхождение общей эволюционной ветви аргасовых и иксодовых клещей датируется поздним пермским периодом (~260 ± 21 mya), примерно совпадая с пермским вымиранием, а расхождение общего ствола иксодоидей на ветви предковых форм Argasidae и Ixodidae произошло в триасе.
Предки общего ствола иксодоидных клещей (Ixodidae, Argasidae, Nuttalliellidae) не были кровососами и были близки к современным представителям Holothyridae. Кровососание, а затем и временный эктопаразитизм появились после расхождения основных стволов (Ixodidae, Argasidae и Nuttalliellidae), причем развились независимо в каждой группе.
На начальных этапах эволюции аргасовых клещей питание кровью было кратковременным, длительное питание развилось вторично у личинок и способствовало расселению клещей. Сохранение кратковременного питания можно объяснить приспособлением к обитанию в гнездах птиц или в убежищах, посещаемых птицами, а позднее – и в норах млекопитающих. Перемещение гнатосомы на вентральную часть идиосомы препятствовало счесыванию клеща при кратковременном питании, кратковременное питание привело к сохранению и развитию коксальных желез как основного органа для удаления излишней жидкости при кровососании.
Адаптация к биотопам-укрытиям (гнездам, норам, трещинам в скалах, под отслоившейся корой деревьев и т.п.) способствовала становлению полифагии и появлению способностей к длительному голоданию.
