Optimization of Parameters of Laser Surfacing of Alloys of the Al – Si System

Abstract

Aregression model for simulating shape forming of a roll under laser surfacing (LS) of aluminum-base alloys is developed. The effect of the LS parameters on the geometrical characteristics of the surfaced rolls and on the structure of the coating is studied. A“Laser Online” software is created in the form of an automated system for development of recommendations for LS of aluminum alloys. The parameters determined for LS of alloy AlSi30 provide a fine quasi-eutectic structure raising the level of the microhardness distributed uniformly over cross section.
