Effect of Gas-Saturated Layers on Titanium Alloy Sheet Mechanical Properties

Abstract

The effect of the thickness of gas-saturated layer and annealing temperature on impact strength of titanium alloys is studied. It is shown that the optimum degree of the surface gas saturation may have a favorable effect on titanium alloy sheet endurance and impact strength.
