Abstract
In this paper, plants for producing fluorocarbons, which can be used as refrigerants, with the impurity level of no more than 5ppm have been described. In the R14purification plant, the high boiling components are adsorbed in the adsorbers, and the final purification is accomplished in the rectifying columns with packing.
Liquid nitrogen serves as the refrigerant. The design solutions allowing to minimize the R14 losses and reduce the liquid nitrogen consumption have been described.
Substances with a high condensing temperature ( RC318 and SF6) are purified at the plants with the integrated vapor compression refrigeration machines, in which the purified product is used as a working medium.
