Аннотация
Приводится обзор изменений ионосферных параметров в предбуревой период, наблюдаемых при анализе конкретных магнитных бурь (так называемыe “case studies”). Показано, что в результатах такого анализа в большинстве случаев видны отклонения этих параметров (прежде всего – foF2 и TEC) в дни, предшествующие внезапному началу бури. При этом многие авторы обращают на них внимание, обсуждают их связь с параметрами космической погоды, сезоном, временем суток и пространственным распределением и даже высказывают предположения о возможных механизмах формирования. Показано, что число таких публикаций заметно возросло в течение последних 4−5 лет. Подчеркивается, что изменения состояния ионосферы в предбуревые дни обнаруживаются не только в “классических” параметрах (foF2 и TEC), но и в других ионосферных характеристиках. Подробно рассматриваются статьи, посвященные именно проблеме ионосферных предвестников магнитных бурь, их связи с космической погодой и их возможной роли в предсказании предстоящей магнитной бури.
