Renal echinococcosis mistaken for a cystic tumor of the kidney

Abstract

 Renal echinococcosis is a relatively rare disease. Making a preoperative clinical, biological and radiological diagnosis is quite challenging and hard. A clinical case of a 63-year-old patient operated on for renal echinococcosis is presented. The formation had the form of multiple grape-like cysts were mistaken for a cystic tumor of the kidney before surgery.
