CLINICAL, RADIOLOGICAL, AND MORPHOLOGICAL ASSESSMENT OF LATE RESULTS FOR REVASCULARIZATION OF THE FEMORAL HEAD AND NECK IN DEGENERATIVE AND DYSTROPHIC DISEASES OF THE HIP JOINT IN ADULTS
Abstract
At assessment of 41 patients at late (7 to 26 years) terms after revascularization of the femoral head and neck, it was determined that 9 patients who underwent the surgery at the early, pre-radiological, stage of a vascular femoral head necrosis (AFHN) are healthy. In 18 patients who underwent the surgery at late terms of degenerative and dystrophic diseases of the hip joint (DDDHJ), worsening of the radiological picture was not associated with clinical progression of the disease. Histological investigation of the femoral heads showed that the vascular complex implanted into the head and neck of the femur functions for up to 22 years, and the lumen of the artery is patent, blood supply improves. The above mentioned, obviously, implies some favorable influence of this surgical intervention on the course of the pathological process.

INFLUENCE OF RHINOSEPTOPLASTY ON CLINICAL ALLERGIC INDICES OF PATIENTS WITH ALLERGIC RHINITIS AND BRONCHIAL ASTHMA HAVING DEFLECTION OF NASAL SEPTUM
Abstract
The purpose of the present study is as follows: to determine the influence of rhinoseptoplasty on clinical allergic indices of patients with allergic rhinitis and bronchial asthma having deflection of nasal septum. An in-depth integrated examination was performed for 61 patients having deflection of nasal septum and suffering from allergic rhinitis and bronchial asthma. 10 patients with allergic rhinitis and bronchial asthma without deflection of nasal septum served as a control group. The work included clinico-laboratory, otolaryngologic, functional and allergological methods. It has been found, that patients with allergic rhinitis and bronchial asthma, having deflection of nasal septum, proved more severe clinical progression of allergic diseases. Timely performed rhinoseptoplasty allows to reduce the severity of clinical progression and the frequency of allergic disease exacerbation, as well as to improve efficiency of pharmacotherapy applied to allergic rhinitis and bronchial asthma.

SYNTHETIC DIRECT ANTIOXIDANT IONOL AS A PROMISING MEANS OF ANTI-CATARACT TREATMENT
Abstract
Conservative treatment of cataract, being the most common cause of reduced vision, is aimed at correcting certain metabolic disorders of crystalline lens and is of little efficiency. Currently, they recognize the free radical theory as the main theory of cataract pathogenesis, however, in the arsenal of conservative therapy there are no drugs with proven direct antioxidant activity. Ionol is a classic synthetic phenolic antioxidant, which is used as a drug in different fields of medicine for diseases associated with oxidative stress, but in ophthalmology ionol has not been previously used. Given the above, it is reasonable and relevant to study ionol as a promising means of anti-cataract treatment.
