Аннотация
Последние десятилетия характеризуются ростом применения кортикостероидов в офтальмологии для лечения различных заболевания - аддергического конъюнктивита, увеитов различной этиологии, возрастной макулодистрофии, центральной серозной хориоретинопатии, послеоперационных осложнений и т. д. Кроме того, в последние годы офтальмологи отмечают увеличение частоты бесконтрольного применения стероидов пациентами. Это может привести к возникновению офтальмогипертензии и стероидной глаукоме. В статье приведены современные сведения о частоте, причинах развития стероидной глаукомы, её патогенезе.
