Abstract
Renal failure associated with diabetic angionephropathy is the immediate cause of death in approximately 50% of patients with type I diabetes in childhood. It is important for the physician to identify preclinical signs of kidney damage, because the clinical symptoms of diabetic angioedema are indicative of the unfolding pattern of vascular complications.
