Abstract
Hypoglycemic conditions are not so rare in the work of a practicing physician, primarily an emergency physician. Of particular importance are hypoglycemia in patients with diabetes mellitus, developing against the background of insulin therapy, less often - during treatment with sugar-lowering sulfonamide drugs (chlorpropamide, glibenclamide). Diagnostic errors and difficulties are observed in the emergency care setting. Hypoglycemic conditions associated with insulin therapy of diabetes occur in 35-55% of patients.
