Abstract
Dr. M. N. Ksenokratov: The role of constitution in the course of chronic alcoholism. -In the debate Prof. Yudin drew attention to the fact that the cure rate of schizoid patients is much lower than that of cycloid patients. The fact whether alcoholics want to be cured or not also plays a huge role here. Alcoholics are more cycloid, other addicts are more often asthenic. Dr. Andreev stated that schizoid character occurs with prolonged alcohol use and that there is a certain relation between the duration of alcoholism and the curability of alcoholism. Prof. Favorsky, dwelling on a group of epileptic alcoholics, did not consider it possible to recognize as epileptics those of them where epilepsy was brought to life by alcoholism; he also drew attention to the distribution of patients by nationality.
