Abstract
The origin of eczema is still considered to be heterogeneous. French authors (Gaucher, Darier and others) think that eczema is an expression of "diathesis", that metabolic abnormalities are of predominant importance. German dermatologists take a different view. Jadasson, for example, says (I quote from Bremenor and Shimanko) - “the most important part of eczematogenic irritants belongs to the external world and enters the skin from the outside. Bloch considers every eczema as an idiosyncratic reaction.
