Abstract
The incidence of measles in the Tatar Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic, as well as in other regions and republics, occupied one of the first places in the infectious pathology of childhood. Measles control measures used until recent years, the main of which was mass passive immunization with anti-measles gammaglobulin, led to a decrease in the severity of the disease among those vaccinated and to a decrease in mortality. However, due to the short-term protective effect of gammaglobulin, it was not possible to achieve a significant reduction in the incidence of measles.
