Abstract
The hydrostatic pressure on the main intraocular structures, and in particular on the retina, is small and almost does not depend on the level of ophthalmotonus. Only in the area of the optic nerve head, hydrostatic pressure is proportional to the magnitude of the ophthalmotonus and, therefore, sharply increases in glaucoma.
