Abstract
AF Samoilov was an outstanding physiologist, who devoted all his strength and outstanding talent to the development of science. He is deservedly considered the founder of Russian electrophysiology, experimental and clinical electrocardiography. The emergence of the theory of chemical transmission of excitation is associated with his name.

Changes in the content of amino acids in the blood serum in infectious hepatitis
Abstract
We studied the amino acid spectrum of blood in 131 patients with infectious hepatitis and 50 healthy ones. The studies were carried out by the method of one-dimensional descending chromatography on paper (3.S. Chulkova, I.I. Gumina, 1958; M.N. Medvedeva, P.V. Kugenev, V.P. Shchuka, 1961), always on an empty stomach in the morning, under conditions basic exchange. A modification of the technique was developed by O. M. Gulina.
Some principles of surgical treatment for rectal cancer

Surgical treatment of women with functional urinary incontinence

Over the past 32 years, we have observed 328 women with functional urinary incontinence in the clinic (0.42% of the total number of inpatients). This does not include patients with prolapse of the uterus. The average age of the patients is 45.3 years. The youngest was 22, the oldest 78.

We studied the clinical picture in 62 patients with hiatal hernia observed in the clinic from 1952 to 1965. There were 35 men, 27 women.
