Abstract
In recent years, lasers have been actively introduced into various fields of surgery, certain experience has been accumulated in the treatment of a number of surgical diseases, indications for surgical interventions using lasers are expanding. The ability of the laser beam to sterilize the surgical field, preventing access of microorganisms to the wound surface (which is especially important in conditions of contaminated wounds), allows its effective use in surgical treatment of proctologic diseases.
