Abstract
A controversy is being held with the author of the article "Experience in the use of therapeutic fasting in hypothalamic disorders, published as a discussion in No. 4 of" Kazan Medical Journal "for 1980. At the same time, on the basis of his own observations, an idea is given about the mechanism of the positive effect of therapeutic fasting, which the author intends to define as a method of unloading diet therapy.
