Abstract
The experience of Kazan Research Institute for Traumatology and Orthopedics in conservative treatment of congenital clubfoot in 259 sick children of the first year of life is generalized. The reasons for failure and recurrence of deformity in the application of common methods of treating clubfoot are considered. The article describes the design and application of the apparatus developed by the author for the functional treatment of congenital clubfoot in children. The device was used to treat 54 patients (84 feet). Positive results in the long-term follow-up were achieved in 96.3% of patients.
