The question of jaundice has always interested French scientists, and the author of the book rightly points out that many modern views are available, although still in a rudimentary form, in the works of Trousseau, Jaccoud, Hanot, Haye m'a, Gilbert'a, Chauffard'a, Wida, who foresaw the infectious origin of many jaundice.
