Abstract

Zangemeister's studies have found that hydrops gravidarum is a specific disease of pregnant women that plays a role in the etiology of eclampsia, and that if it is recognized in a pregnant woman in a timely manner and treated with therapeutic measures, then the development of eclamptic seizures can be prevented.
