Abstract
To elucidate this mechanism, Warnekros (Arch. F. Gyn., Bd. 109; Zeit. F. Geb. u. Gyn., Bd. LXXXII, H. 2) used radiography. Immediately after the birth of the child, 40-50 cubic meters were released from the placenta. sant. blood, which was replaced by the same amount of liquid suspension of barium sulfate introduced into the umbilical vein; after that, the placenta in the uterus came out clearly in the pictures.
