Abstract

In surgical practice a great number of methods are used to assess the course of the wound process; however, the search for more informative tests to reveal the nature of the wound process and reparative regeneration is still relevant. One of the directions of this search is the quantitative determination of the specific components participating in the reparative tissue regeneration in the wound discharge. Such methods include the detection of protein, collagen and its derivatives, glycosaminoglycans etc. in the wound discharge.
