Abstract
This year marks the 100th anniversary of the birth of the outstanding Kazan surgeon Ivan Fedorovich Kharitonov (09/20/1898 - 09/22/1985). Most of his life was associated with the surgical clinic named after A.V. Vishnevsky, in which he went from assistant to head of the department.
