Abstract
The frequency and dynamics of measles cases in Tatarstan Republic within recent 10 years are analyzed. Its successive decrease, especially in connection with introduction in 1986 of revaccination by living measles vaccine of children aged 6 to 7. Immunization against measles performed during 1994—95 proved to be highly efficient: the sickness rate index 1,8 per 100 thousands of population proved to be the lowest index in a time of measles registration in the Republic. Elimination of endogenic measles in the Republic is fully actual reaching not less than 95% of immunization against measles, appropriate revealing of children falling ill and the performance of antiepidemic measles complex.
