Abstract

Among the promising and progressive methods of labor pain relief, which are successfully used at present, include: electroanalgesia; anesthesia with the help of narcotic substances similar in structure to the body's natural metabolites (sodium oxybutyrate, viadril); autoanalgesia with subnarcotic concentrations of inhalation anesthetics with a wide range of analgesic effects (nitrous oxide, pentran, trilene); pain relief with drugs used for neuroleptanalgesia; epidural analgesia.
