Abstract
Although the successes achieved by Soviet health care in the field of child health are great, there are still a number of unsolved problems in it. These, in particular, should include otolaryngological morbidity in children and measures to combat it. The urgency of this problem is currently determined not only by the higher frequency of ENT diseases in children (tonsillitis, rhinitis and sinusitis, otitis media and hearing disorders), but also by the severity of such associated diseases as rheumatism and rheumatoid processes in all their diversity (D. D. Lebedev, E. I. Volkova, 1957; D. D. Lebedev and A. V. Dolgopolova, 1961).
