Abstract
The steroid anesthetic was synthesized in 1955 [43] and named hydroxydione. In its chemical structure, it is close to progesterone and deoxycorticosterone, but lacks hormonal properties. In the USA, hydroxydione was released under the name Viadril, in the USSR - “Predion”.
