Abstract

The object of this study was methyl and dimethyl derivatives of benzo (a) pyrene (BP), one of the most active and widespread carcinogenic polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) in the human environment. BP derivatives are of interest for oncological research, since the addition of a methyl group, as a rule, increases the carcinogenicity of PAHs.
