Abstract
Medicines, which include oil, oil products and tar, are widely used throughout the world in the treatment of a number of skin diseases. Some of them, such as medical vaseline oil, are used not only for cutaneous application, but also for internal use. In the history of medicine, a number of cases are described when the use of drugs containing tar, oil and petroleum products was (the cause of cancer in humans.
