Abstract

In 1957, Jules and Hollo described a clinical syndrome they called "pubertal basophilism." The authors believe that during puberty, the functional activity of the basophilic elements of the pituitary gland sharply increases with an increase in the secretion of A CT G, TSH and FSH. According to Jules and Hollo, the pathogenesis of this disease is the same as that of Itsenko-Cushing's disease, and the clinical picture of the disease is typical for mild forms of Itsenko-Cushing's disease.
