Abstract

In the past, rheumatism was considered a disease of the young. Now rheumatism has "aged". Among the 5241 heart patients (1953-1963) observed by us, rheumatism (all ages) accounted for 39.3%, and rheumatism in patients over 50 years old - 5.1%.
