Abstract
We have studied disability injuries and their relationship with social and hygiene factors at a plant that produces film and photo materials. Information about the age, length of service, time and circumstances of the injury and the assistance provided, etc. were copied onto special cards from the outpatient cards of the trauma center at the outpatient clinic of the plant's medical unit, from sick leave certificates and accident reports. All 202 workers and employees who were injured were called to study long-term results. 47.5% of injured people are men, although their share in the team is much smaller - 33%. More often injuries are recorded among workers in older age groups (from 50 to 59 years), which can be explained by some disregard for compliance with safety rules.
