Abstract
Endocrinology is one of the main links in the development of biomedical sciences, defined at the XXV Congress of the CPSU. The separation of endocrinology as an independent direction in the theory and practice of medicine is due, on the one hand, to the success of the biological chemistry of hormones, which made it possible to delve into the subtle mechanisms of hormonal regulation and their disorders, and, on the other hand, to the great experience accumulated by clinical endocrinology.
