Abstract
Over the past 10-15 years, much attention has been paid to medical and geographical research in the Soviet Union and abroad. Interest in such studies is explained by the fact that they are of great practical importance in the long-term planning of health care development, in the development of measures aimed at reducing or eliminating certain human diseases, building new cities and enterprises, developing new territories and solving many other national economic problems.
