Abstract

Ductus omphalo-mesentericus is an organ of human intrauterine life. With the normal development of the body, it remains by the end of intrauterine life in the form of minor traces on the corresponding part of the intestine. As an anomaly in the development of the intestine, the remainder of this duct is often found in the form of a more or less developed formation (Meckel's diverticulum).
