Abstract

The remarkable discovery of the defensive enzymes of the animal organism by Abderhalden has caused, in a relatively short time, the appearance of a number of works devoted to both the theoretical development of the issue and the study of the purely clinical significance of the reaction in order to recognize the diseases of various organs; moreover, the greatest interest on the part of researchers undoubtedly raised the question of the specificity of these enzymes.
