Abstract
According to the view established in the sciences, we have included in the heading of premature births all cases where pregnancy was interrupted from the end of the 28th week before the expiration of the normal term. The main criterion for determining the term was, of course, the time of the last menses and the movement of the fetus in this pregnancy, ascertained by the mother for the first time. But these data alone, of course, are not yet enough to recognize childbirth as premature in each individual case. Therefore, when determining the premature termination of pregnancy, in addition to the last menses and the first movement of the fetus, we were guided by the size of the born fetus and all the objective data that are inherent in prematurity.
