Abstract
In his book "Technique chirurgicale" Doyen presented a drawing of an instrument for crushing tissues, as a hemostatic agent; however, Doyen often throws a thin ligature over the crushed end of the vessel. This tool, which he called a vazotrib, was demonstrated at the international congress of doctors in Moscow. Faure, a surgeon at the Necker hospital, arranged a similar instrument in a smaller size, and it turned out to be able to work with this instrument with one hand.
