该书评是对中国研究学家腾铭予关于中国古代秦国考古文化的著作 (滕铭予. 秦文化: 从封建国到帝国的考古学观察. 北京: 2003. 216 頁).作者首先在对墓葬研究的基础上，介绍了秦考古文化的概念并对其进行了研究。书中根据墓葬的主要固定特征，如空间方位、尸位、墓葬器具等进行了分类。追踪文化的变更，按时间顺序（阶段）和空间分布（区域化）呈现。根据墓葬传统的变化，作者得出秦国主要社会单位的变化和统治阶级形成方式的结论。评论反过来又从逻辑和方法的一致性、分析材料的完整和对研究的感知的角度来看待这项研究。
