Lexical and semantic features of anglicisms in online courses on pedagogy: analysis of the digital educational environment

Abstract

the article examines the lexical and semantic features of English-language borrowings used in online courses and massive open online courses (MOOCs) dedicated to digital pedagogy. The research is based on an analysis of the content and interface vocabulary of courses hosted on platforms such as Stepik, Coursera, Moodle, Edutoria and others. As part of the content analysis, a corpus of Anglicisms was formed, used in course descriptions, module names, roles of teachers and students, as well as in assignment texts and navigation elements. The typologization of Anglicisms according to the degree of adaptation, the sphere of use and the functions performed is carried out. It is revealed that the main part of borrowings performs nominative, image and pragmatic functions, representing new forms of educational interaction, digital technologies and pedagogical roles. The peculiarities of the semantic transformation of individual lexemes in the Russian-language educational context are noted. The conclusion is made about the formation of a stable English-speaking component in the terminological system of digital pedagogy.
