The editors of the journal "Cognition and Experience" accept for publication original manuscripts that have not been previously published in any other publications (print or online). All publications in the journal are carried out exclusively free of charge.
Type of accepted manuscripts: reviews, theoretical articles, experimental articles, case studies, articles on psychotherapeutic and psychoanalytic practice, messages and reports on scientific events, other information materials. Materials in Russian and English are accepted for publication.
The manuscript is sent in electronic form in a Microsoft Word editor of any version to the address: cogexpjournal@gmail.com.
Rules for registration and review of manuscripts
- Checking the manuscript submitted by the author for compliance with the requirements of the journal.
- Registration of the manuscript in the editorial office.
- Checking the manuscript in the "Antiplagiat" system.
- Reviewing.
- Making a decision regarding the publication of the manuscript.
- Signing by the author of the Form of consent for publication.
- Prepress preparation of the manuscript.
1. Manuscripts of up to 40 thousand characters with spaces are considered (including a list of references); informational messages - up to 10 thousand characters. The text should be typed in Times New Roman font with one and a half line spacing, 12 point size is used; all illustrations, graphs and tables are located in the appropriate places in the text.
The article must necessarily have an annotation and keywords (in Russian and English); detailed information about the authors and a list of references are also given in two languages at the end of the manuscript. References in the text are given in parentheses (author, year). Links to foreign sources in the text and in the list of references are given in the original language.
The structure of the presentation of the material in the manuscript includes: problem, purpose of the work, method, results, their discussion and analysis, conclusions.
A separate file contains information about the authors: last name, first name, patronymic, academic degree / title, position, place of work, indicators of the author's publication activity, e-mail address and telephone number for communication.
Also, in the appendix to the manuscript, all figures and illustrations must be provided in separate files; if necessary, the editorial staff has the right to request images in a higher resolution.
Manuscripts sent to the editors must be submitted in the appropriate format. The editorial board reserves the right to reject or return for revision the manuscripts, which are not properly executed.
2. Articles submitted for publication in the scientific journal "Cognition and Experience" should not be considered in other journals at the time of submission. If the material submitted by the author has already been fully or partially published earlier, the author undertakes to inform the editor about this, as well as to justify the need for such a publication. The decision on all such cases is made by the editors on an individual basis.
The editors must confirm the receipt of the manuscripts, each manuscript is assigned its own unique number (for internal use by the editors). If the notification is not received within seven days, please duplicate the submission of materials
3. All manuscripts received by the editorial office of the journal and accepted for consideration are checked in the Antiplagiat system.
The editors do not welcome an excessive number of citations, even if they are properly formatted. Self-citation is permissible only if the links to all sources are correct.
If borrowings are found, the editors conduct a comprehensive assessment of them, during which the authorship of the borrowed text, the presence or absence of a properly formatted citation, their volume from the general text, etc. are taken into account. Based on the analysis, a decision is made on the possibility or impossibility of publishing the article.
4. An expert assessment of the manuscripts submitted to the editorial office, corresponding to the subject matter and standards of the journal, is carried out through double-blind peer review. The reviewers are members of the editorial board, as well as specialists involved from outside, who are recognized specialists in the subject of the reviewed materials and have relevant publications over the past 3 years. The reviewing procedure is anonymous, the editorial staff of the publication sends to the authors reviews of the submitted materials in electronic form. The average review period is 4 months.
The review should give a general assessment of the article (recommended for publication, recommended for revision, recommended to reject) and formulate specific comments or grounds for rejecting the article. If it is proposed to modify the article, then the author can send a second version, which will be re-sent for review. If the author does not agree with some of the comments of the reviewer, then he must send a separate substantiated answer to the reviewer, which indicates which comments were not taken into account, and explains why. If, after the second review, the authors fail to adequately take into account the comments, then the article is rejected.
If the reviewers reject the manuscript, a reasoned refusal to publish is sent to the author. Manuscripts rejected as a result of peer review are not reviewed again. Other articles by the authors of such manuscripts are accepted for consideration as usual.
In controversial cases, the manuscript is sent for additional anonymous review. The final decision on publication or rejection of an article is made by the editorial board. The texts of the reviews are kept by the publishing house for five years.
The editors reserve the right to reject an article without a review in the following cases: low scientific level of the article, inconsistency with the format, profile or concept of the journal.
5. Manuscripts approved by the reviewers and prepared by the authors in full accordance with the requirements of the journal are approved for publication. The final decision on publication or rejection of an article is made by the editorial board of the journal on the basis of a combination of all factors (review, design, thematic compliance, compliance with the terms of preparation of materials by the authors, etc.).
6. After accepting the manuscript for publication, the authors send a signed Consent Form to the editorial office. It is permissible to send the Consent Form in electronic form to the working mail of the journal, signed by the responsible author.
7. All manuscripts accepted for publication are required to attend pre-press, namely, scientific editing and proofreading. Then the material goes to the layout, and after checking it as part of the original layout of the issue, the article goes to print.
