Аннотация

visual art plays a crucial role in the comprehension and representation of traumatic experiences, providing a space for their processing and transformation. However, the process of artistic representation of trauma faces several challenges: resistance to symbolization, the risk of retraumatization, and the influence of cultural context. This article explores the mechanisms of trauma representation in visual art, analyzing its role in capturing and reinterpreting traumatic experiences, as well as examining ways to break the cycle of traumatic representation. The theoretical and practical aspects discussed in the article offer a deeper understanding of how art facilitates the departure from repetitive patterns of traumatic experience and how artistic representation can contribute to the processes of comprehension and transformation of trauma.
