Abstract
the article is dedicated to the problem of phubbing as a new type of addiction, which is more common among modern youth. The authors consider the peculiarities of the manifestation of this addiction, its types, and touch upon the issues of prevention of this addiction. The article presents the results of a pilot experiment carried out on the basis of Ugra State University to identify students with this type of addictive behavior. The authors suggest psychological resistance as an innate ability to resist negative influences and develop as a healthy personality as one of the effective means of phubbing prevention.
