Abstract
The article discloses the content of the international conference on the theme "Communist Manifesto: theoretical and practical value at the present time" held in Hanoi in February. A short review of the main topics of the reports of the conference participants was made. The role of marxism as the guiding ideology for Vietnam and China is shown.
