Abstract
The question of the social nature of public associations as associations of people to achieve certain goals, the legal aspect of such associations and the combination of the legal and social component of public associations is considered. Reveals the question of the prerequisites for self-organization in society, as one of the elements of socialization, studied the existing norms and foundations of such associations. The analysis of the elements of public associations, their characteristics and structure. An important role is assigned to the consideration of the process of formation of public associations, the study of the stages of the process. In addition, analyzed approaches to the study of public associations by well-known scientists and legal scholars – N.I. Matusov, A.V. Malko, S.S. Alekseev, L.A. Morozova, A.V. Melekhin. Analyzed the process of activity of public associations on a concrete example of public association.
