Word-formation activation of Japanese borrowings in the modern Russian language

Senko E., Tsakhilova L.

摘要

Problematics of the work is connected with the study of the borrowing process, which, due to the process of globalization taking place at all Russian society’s levels of life, is highlighted as a factor of modern language development. As a subject of research, lexical units translated into the Russian language system from the Japanese language are considered. Research source are dictionaries of foreign words, neographic reference books, as well as explanatory dictionaries reflecting language changes. In addition, data were used from the Russian National Corpus and electronic media, which most actively provide the entry of a foreign language into the Russian language. The material is Japanese foreign-language lexemes representing different versions of the common language – the standard (literary language) and the substandard. The aim of the research is to show the functional changes in the system of the modern Russian language on the example of Japanese words that are included in the Russian lexical fund and which strengthen their derivative activity as an indicator of their creative abilities’ growth in the recipient language. It has been established that the word-formation activation of Japanese borrowings in the modern Russian language certainly reflects the processes of internationalization and globalization in speech culture and society, as well as the active combination of native and foreign combat elements characteristic of modern media production. It is noted that at present it is the sphere of Internet communication that protects the functioning of dictionary innovations and thereby activates the lexical dynamics of the Russian language, emphasizing the corresponding side of its Internetization.

Thesaurus as a constituent of the category “language personality”

Sayakhmet S., Tumanova A.

摘要

The work is devoted to the description of the term “thesaurus” as a constituent of the category “language personality”. We present a brief overview of scientific information on the formation of the meanings and status of these terms in modern linguistics. The idea is substantiated that in the practice of society’s life there is a desire among students to identify, clarify and understand a huge number of terms related to the modern realities of life (globalization, integration, informatization, westernization, etc.). We emphasize that modern terminological dictionaries, especially special dictionaries - thesauruses, are becoming particularly relevant in the field of specialists' professional training. We emphasize the need to improve the training quality of future specialists based on the formation and improvement of their thesaurus as one of the important language personality components.

Differential mode: manifestation in toponymics

Shcherbak A., Elibaeva R.

摘要

We consider toponyms that are related to the same appellative or ascend to the same anthroponym or to the same family anthropolexem. We prove that this kind of nomination of toponyms contradicts its main purpose – to name single objects and creates interference at the level of communication. We substantiate the opposition-based numerical and opposing ways of forming toponyms. We establish that these methods should not be considered homogeneous, since they involve various kinds of auxiliary means of individualization and differentiation. Numerical differentiation generates a differential opposition, which serves to distinguish two topolexemes and is formed by adding to each of the opposed toponyms an additional attribute in the form of ordinal numbers. In this case, its mean the creation of so-called equipollent (equivalent) opposition. Similar is noted in many toponymic systems of the world (especially in urbanonyms). The opposing way of nominating settlements is based on a binary opposition – in the structure of oikonyms, antonymic pairs such as Big – Small, Old – New are present as differentiators. Kazakh toponyms and toponyms of the Tambov region are used as illustrative material.

Metaphor as a means of creating a new meaning (based on the nicknames of Russian military personnel)

Rodina N.

摘要

We analyze the linguistic metaphor as a means of creating a new meaning of word. We consider the varieties of metaphor – cognitive and conceptual – in the understanding of foreign and domestic linguists of the precognitive and cognitive periods. We conclude that the terminological combination is correctly applied conceptual metaphor in relation to a linguistic phenomenon. This question is relevant at present, since associative transfer when assigning naming objects and persons is widespread in modern onomastics. In addition, in professional groups, as part of jargon existence, a metaphor is a universal tool for the formation of nicknames. The work provides an example of conceptual metaphor usage to create nicknames for Russian military personnel. From a cognitive point of view, we describe naming, data for the features of the appearance, behavior, character of the army representatives. The study is based on living language material collected by the method of questioning and direct interviewing of military personnel of St. Petersburg. The material and results of the study can be used in the educational process both in civilian and military universities at seminars and special courses in onomastics, as well as in the compilation of the “Dictionary of Military Nicknames”.

Linguistic aspects of UK written judicial discourse: formal and substantive approach justification

Arinova B.

摘要

The aim of the work is to present a comprehensive approach to the study of linguistic features of the UK written judicial discourse, describe its features in terms of professional communication and social practice. We give a consistent analysis of the major factors which scaffold judicial discourse as a whole – the formal structure of the legal discourse and the formal content (textual sources) of judicial discourse. We believe the legal sources (texts of previous decisions and texts of legislative acts) contribute to the multi-faceted nature of the judicial legal discourse in which we can observe various processes: legal interpretation, recontextualization of ordinary facts in the professional legal field, statutory treatment and nominalization of facts and deeds etc. These and other characteristics created the dynamic nature of judicial discourse which is commonly seen as a static relic. Proper analysis and understanding of the formal structure of the legal discourse and its formal content (textual sources) bears major importance when addressing the analysis of linguistic features of written judicial discourse. Based on the analysis, the main characteristics of the written judicial discourse of Anglo-Saxon system are identified and the framework for further study of its linguistic features is determined. From our point of view, the study of the phenomenon of professional discourse is interdisciplinary in nature, in particular, the study of written judicial discourse is based on the positions of sociologists, linguists, philosophers and legal scholars. We use description and synthesis methods, as well as comparative and contextual methods. The theoretical significance of the study lies in the development of the comprehensive approach to the linguistic analysis of professional discourses as a means of actualizing a certain social practice.

Forest in K.G. Paustovsky’s coloristic picture of the world

Sivova T.

摘要

In the work, on extensive factual material of the works included in K.G. Paustovsky’s Collected Works, on the example of the lexeme forest functioning, correlating with a wide range of attributes and predicates, a significant fragment of K.G. Paustovsky’s language picture of the world is reconstructed. Considering the importance of the coloristic component for the writer’s worldview, it seems appropriate to identify the specifics of the forest individual author’s color perception and visualization. Key findings: 1) the coloristic spectrum used by the writer to visualize the forest is established; 2) the dominants of this spectrum are identified; 3) the functional potential of the color terms is identified; 4) the determinism of the forest coloristic characteristics is determined; 5) the correlation of national and individual author’s in color visualization of the forest is established; 6) the specifics of the author’s color style of writing is described, all this in complex contribute to holistic reconstruction of the writer’s coloristic picture of the world. The theoretical basis of the study are the key provisions of linguistics of color, the methodological basis – a set of methods used at different stages of work, including the continuous sampling method, descriptive-analytical, contextual, and quantitative data processing.

Functionality of the dynamics of the concepts’ content of STILLNESS, SILENCE, and PRATE in a literary text (based on the novel “Abode” by Zakhar Prilepin)

Glazkova M., Vukolova V.

摘要

The work is created at the intersection of two sciences – literary studies and cognitive linguistics. We pose the urgent problem of artistic meaning of dynamism of the concepts' content of STILLNESS, SILENCE, and PRATE in Zakhar Prilepin’s novel “Abode”. We substantiate the conclusion that historical and author’s interpretations of the named concepts are used to express the author’s consciousness that the semantic content of the studied concepts STILLNESS, SILENCE, and PRATE serves in Zakhar Prilepin’s novel as an artistic and aesthetic justification of the spiritual crisis causes in Russian society at the beginning of the 20th century. The writer, demonstrating the crowding out of the original Gospel concept content of STILLNESS (achieving holiness), as well as the emergence of additional interpretations of it, which are formed in the text of Prilepin's work based on peripheral meanings in the author's interpretation of the concepts of SILENCE (limitation of mind) and PRATE (ideological propaganda), confirms the main idea of the novel “Abode”, which speaks of the destructiveness for Russia of the rejection of the Orthodox ideal in the post-revolutionary period.

Mistakes in gender categorization in speech production of foreigners studying Russian

Schelokova A.

摘要

The failure to determine the grammatical gender category of adjectives, ordinal numerals and possessive pronouns in the speech production of foreigners representing a monoethnic (Chinese) group of students is considered from the perspective of cognitive linguistics. The analysis of the written works and oral statements of students studying Russian as a foreign language reveals a mechanism that leads to typical mistakes in this aspect of Russian grammar. Categorization by gender of nouns occurs through cognitive mechanisms of correlation and comparison, namely: by biological gender – motivated, by formal attribute – unmotivated; categorization by gender of adjectives, possessive pronouns and ordinal numerals, as the categorization of secondary (unmotivated) features, is absent for foreign residents. Accordingly, for a foreigner, a cognizable category that does not have an ontological character becomes a difficult obstacle to overcome at the initial stage of language learning.

To the results of the discussion about the folklore identity of the Kalmyk tale from “The Captain’s Daughter” by A.S. Pushkin

Burykin A.

摘要

The subject of the work is the Kalmyk fairy tale about the eagle and the raven, which is present in the story of A.S. Pushkin “The Captain’s Daughter” (1836). One group of scientists believes that this fairy tale-parable was composed by A.S. Pushkin himself. We represent those researchers who recognize this fairy tale as an independent work of A.S. Pushkin during a trip to the Orenburg region. Despite the fact that this tale is absent in the manuscripts of A.S. Pushkin and is not identified in the folklore of Russian Kalmyks, there are serious reasons to recognize it as an original work of Kalmyk folklore. This is convinced by the structure of the tale’s plot, which is becoming a series of tales about the relationship of animals, the recording of a similar tale among the Evens – the people of the Tungusic group, the existence of the same tale among the Xinjiang Kalmyks, the availability of information about the Kalmyk woman who told this tale to A.S. Pushkin, the widespread opposition of the eagle and the raven in the folklore of the peoples of the world, the presence of such semantic structures in the indexes of fairy tales and motives of S. Thompson. By the nature of the semantic elements composition and the plot structure, we can judge that neither A.S. Pushkin, nor anyone else could have composed such a fairy tale.

Strategies for building a professional reputation of Russian emigres and self-educated writers

Kaminskaya Y., Tolstonozhenko O.

摘要

We analyze the ways of constructing a writer's reputation in exceptional cultural conditions related to displacement of entire generations of authors to the literary process periphery and their lack of a “right to creative work”. We compare the experience of two conditionally distinguished large and heterogeneous groups – writers from the people who tried to declare themselves at the beginning of the 20th century as an independent current, and representatives of the Russian literary emigration. In addition to a number of common features (falling into the “blind zone” of generally recognized literature, internal isolation, leading to the fact that the majority of readers belong to the same environment as writer, the lack of economic benefits from publishing works), self-educated writers and emigres resorted to similar strategies for building a reputation. We find that representatives of both groups formulated a noble mission uniting them, aimed at serving national literature, turned to the experience and poetics of predecessor writers to construct their own literary tradition, legitimizing their special creative path, and tried to structure their sub-field by creating associations and circles , as well as critical reflection of the current literary process.

The Kore archetype and its implementation in the play by A.N. Ostrovsky “The Storm”

Smirnov K.

摘要

We analyze the implementation specific of the Kore archetype, introduced by C.G. Jung and K. Kerenyi, in relation to the image of Katerina, the main heroine of the play “The storm” by A.N. Ostrovsky. The main focus is on the archetype of Katherine’s image. In the process of research, comparative typological, historical, biographical and interpretive methods are used. Due to the analysis of the works of V.V. Toporova, E.M. Meletinsky, N.A. Berdyaev, T. Eliot and others, Katerina’s involvement in the Kore archetype is revealed. We investigate the specific situation of Katerina’s life in the Kabanov family: dependence on circumstances forces the heroine to commit adultery in order to find female happiness. We prove that Katerina’s image created by A.N. Ostrovsky and actualizing the most pressing problems of the modern playwright of society, is typical for Russian literature of the Golden age in social and psychological terms. A detailed study of the main character’s image allows us to come to the conclusion that the illusory feeling and the subsequent doom to suffer reproduce the stable image of a Russian woman, ready for love, but receiving nothing in return. The results of this study may be interesting to everyone who is interested in the work of A.N. Ostrovsky and archetypes in Russian literature of the 19th century.

Implementation of the aesthetic ideal in the “A Writer’s Diary” by F.M. Dostoevsky

Sycheva E., Serebryakov A.

摘要

The work is devoted to the study of F.M. Dostoevsky’s aesthetics, in particular, the writer’s aesthetic ideal. Following Kant, Hegel, and Schiller, the Russian writer considered the ideal in an anthropological aspect. The writer’s aesthetic ideal is a person who synthesizes the moral and spiritual in himself. The idea of moral beauty is expressed in the theoretical thought of the Russian writer. Harmony, comeliness serve only as an outer shell, when moral height appears as the aesthetic ideal of F.M. Dostoevsky. His works strive for this beauty and truth. Following the examples of “positive beauty” of world and domestic literature and art, F.M. Dostoevsky recreated in his works positively beautiful characters. The Russian writer speaks of the duality of beauty, the “two abysses” of the human soul: “Sodom” – low, sinful, connected with the beauty of the body, sensual, and “Madonna” – high, connected with spiritual beauty, a person can combine both. The writer’s aesthetic ideal is turned to spiritual beauty. Of particular interest is the “A Writer’s Diary” by F.M. Dostoevsky. It is in this work that the writer’s idea of the aesthetic ideal clearly expressed. The question of the ideal person is considered in the context of underground (afterlife) life in the story “Bobok” and above-ground space in “The Dream of a Ridiculous Man”. In these stories and journalistic texts framing them, the internal dynamics of the writer’s worldview position are revealed: from stating the corruption of the spirit and immortality of the soul (“Bobok”) to the tragic insight of the truth (“A Gentle Creature”) and the affirmation of the “living” image of truth (“The Dream of a Ridiculous Man”). The story explicitly expresses the overcoming of such a painful contradiction between the individual and the general, between a positively beautiful person and society.

Body and physicality in the prose of Ivan Alekseyevich Bunin (based on stories)

Bugakova N., Popova Y., Sulemina O.

摘要

We consider the representation of the body and physicality in I.A. Bunin’s individual world picture. We reveal the special moments of the character’s body image – the transition to another being (the process of dying and the image of a dead body). The purpose of the study is to describe some artistic principles of I.A. Bunin’s poetics and analyze the role of portrait in the work system. From this position, we consider the most representative texts (“Ignat”, “The Gentleman from San Francisco”, “Pines”, “Happy House”, “White Horse”, “Aglaya”). We identify the anthropological and metaphysical, existential functions of the physical component image of the characters’ portrait description, as well as the reflection in the character’s description of I.A. Bunin’s aesthetic principles. The study notes some general features of the stories composition, the characters’ attitude to death, the dominants that are reflected in the portrait description of dying: death as a struggle, with all its inherent attributes; anticipation of death, when the plot of the story is the road, the end of which is the departure from life; death as acceptance of one’s own path. Based on the analysis of representative prose works, we make a number of generalizations and conclusions: despite the differences in the characters’ life paths, death becomes a transforming force. I.A. Bunin as a recognized master of detail shows his scrupulous vision in this aspect: he describes the process of dying and physical changes of the human body with all its physiological features. At the same time, he focuses not only on the “terrible” side of the process, but also notes the special solemnity of the moment and the inextricable connection between life and death.

“Diabolic rays” in the novel of M.A. Bulgakov “The Fatal Eggs”: about one modern literary topic in science fiction of the 1920s

Kolchanov V.

摘要

Science fiction literature of the 1920s connected with the topic of heat rays is studied. Begun in the novel of Herbert George Wells “The War of the Worlds” (1897) and in the novel of A.F. Ossendowski “Brig “Horror” (1913), in the decade after October Revolution it became more widely distributed. In each work heat rays got its name: “death rays” in the novel of H. Dominik (1921), “violet rays” in the novel of V.P. Kataev “The Island of Erendorf” (1924), “red ray”, or “life ray” in the novel of M.A. Bulgakov “The Fatal Eggs” (1924), heat rays in the novel of A.N. Tolstoy “The Garin Death Ray” (1926–1927), “orange ray” in the novel of A.F. Paley “Gulfstream” (1927). In all literary works, including pre-revolutionary ones (except for the last one – “Gulfstream”), the heat ray played an extremely negative role in the development of humanity and civilization. The Martians were the first to use weapons to destroy humanity, then the ray fell into the hands of brilliant scientists. The ray, created by brilliant scientists, most often end up in the hands of self-interested and obsessed people, and Russian writers brought a serious doubt to the scientistic aspirations of the human mind. This theme ran parallel to the road of modern research and discoveries in the field of science and technology: in the world laser weapons were being developed as weapons of mass destruction for the future wars of a planetary scale. In the Soviet press, it was “baptized” as the “diabolic rays”, and most important – they tried to implement into the field of social transformations in society, which brought the October Revolution, plans on establishing a socialist system on the entire planet. The central place is given for the novel M.A. Bulgakov’s “The Fatal Eggs”, which absorbed not only the achievements of modern science and technology, not just fantasies of writers – predecessors and contemporaries, but also allusions on the occult motifs in literature and culture: black magic of doctor Faust from the drama-miracle play of J.W. Goethe “Faust”, spells from the “Egyptian Book of the Dead”, old Russian ritual “Troyetsyplyatnitsa”, the egg motif “ad ovo”. Numerous occult details in the story tell about the mechanism of the “red ray”.

Evolution of men and women images in the character system in science fiction works of the Strugatsky brothers

Kozlov I.

摘要

The science fiction works of the Strugatsky brothers are considered as a common artistic world undergoing a certain evolution over time. One indicator of this change is the correlation of male and female characters in character systems of works. A similar change is traced (starting from the early works – “The Way to Amalthea”, “From Beyond” – to the later ones – “Beetle in the Anthill”, “Snail on the Slope”). At first, it can be seen in the quantitative transformation (the appearance of female images in character systems), and then in the influence they have on the plot, narration (including the “author's”digressions), in general – on the image of the world in the works of the Strugatsky. At the same time, an attempt is made to distract from the correlation of the Strugatskys’ work with political and feminist theories, the conclusions are formulated on the basis of an analytical consideration of the artistic form of literary works themselves. Heroines appear in their traditional roles. But then they from “helpers” become opponents in the character system, acquiring traits hostile to male characters. Such a change, in turn, affects the plots of the works, transforming the adventurous plot (now not just a plot-study, but conquest and transformation) and deepening the internal conflict of the Strugatsky brothers’ artistic world.

Childhood time and literary space in the Gennadiy Aygi’s poetry

Kudryakova T.

摘要

Certain features of spatial images representation in the Gennadiy Aygi’s poetry which are often related to the time and images of childhood are highlighted. The natural topoi of the forest, field, etc., including the place of an individual plant, the child’s body as a place and the mortal places are analyzed. It is concluded that childhood images are able to set a positive interpretation vector of the natural space or create a semantic contrast in the context of anthropogenic mortal spaces. The plant topoi endowed with the traits of childishness and the child’s body topoi are considered from the position of the general cultural “divine child” archetype. At the same time, according to our opinion, plant images can be correlated with national and mythological images of the poet’s native culture, and hyperbolization of the child’s body, which is presented as a limitless, comprehensive space, is an individually poetic realization of the grotesque body’s image.

“Media dictionary” as an instrument of national language consciousness study

Shcheglova E.

摘要

The purpose of the research is the presentation of a new lexical graphic product, the idea of which is developed by the initiative group of scientists from the High school of journalism and mass communications in St. Petersburg State University. Nowadays there is a wide range of scientific researches devoted to the national language worldview. But there has not yet been an attempt of systematic fixation and linguistic analysis of word complex, building such a part as media view. Meanwhile, modern media are trend-setters for both the language sphere and the mental field. “Media dictionary”, as we believe, is called to, firstly, create a register of words which may be considered the key ones for this moment; secondly, reveal the semantic changes, happening to these words in media discourse; thirdly, follow the further life of the key words in the language. Such work is of a certain interest for completely different reading groups: casual consumers of media content, students of philology and journalism, those who study Russian as a foreign language, journalists to correct their speech behaviour. But most of all our edition is addressed to the scientific society, because it is meant to become an irreplaceable instrument for studying the current condition of the language worldview, to reflect the contemporary stage of the thinking history, to fix the last dynamic processes in the lexical system. We find it important to create the dictionary edition in the interactive form, which is correlated to the character of the dictionary: key words are very dynamic and changeable units. The work contains the project of the dictionary article, which helps to present the future lexical graphic edition.

Phatic meanings of key words in popular science journalism

Prokofeva N.

摘要

The purpose of the research is to demonstrate the functioning of key words in the texts of popular science journalism. Modern media text is created not only to inform, but to attract the reader. This enlarges the role of contact-building means, for example – the address to the epoch key words. We consider the peculiarities of phatic meanings in popular science journalism, dedicated to the historic themes. The research contains the analysis of phatic meanings in two randomly chosen issues of historic magazines. The result of the analysis is the selection of two groups of key words, which make the journalistic text contain additional phatic meanings. The first group of words is the current key words, allowing relating the publication, containing the address to a historical event or a historical person, to the actual reality. This lexical group allows the journalist to make the publication politically critical and topical and also to evaluate the current political situation through the historical parallel. Such word usage allows including ironic subtext in the historical journalism. The second group of words is the key words of a single publication; they allow completely characterizing an event or a person, being in the center of a journalist’s attention. These are the words, which relate to the acute for the Russian culture value meanings. They stay aside with the complete semantics and characterize the speech subject, the journalist’s relation to it, but they do not relate the theme to the current political situation.

“An honest escape” of a modern character: escapism problem in young adult fiction in the 21st century

Boroda E.

摘要

We analyze the problem of escapism, briefly discuss its history and evolution, its attitude to the problem in different periods of history. Analysis of this problem is the main goal of this work. The subject of this research is the texts of authors writing for children and teenagers, created over the past decade. On the example of young adult fiction in recent years, the development of an escapist motive, a change in attitude towards it and possible causes of such a transformation are observed. The relevance of the study is that modern texts that have not yet been studied by modern literary studies are analyzed, and the problem of escapism is considered in accordance with the cultural and social trends of today. In the process, we use an integrated research method. The result of studying the problem of escapism can be called a review of modern young adult fiction, in which there is a motive for fleeing reality, as well as some observations and conclusions that may be useful in studying the cultural and social problems of today. We conclude that escapism in modern young adult fiction is a full-fledged motive and means of interacting with reality. The scope of the research results is the study of modern literary texts by philologists, literary critics, literature teachers, as well as students and schoolchildren who are interested in expanding and deepening literary knowledge.

The paradigm of life in science: to the 60th anniversary of Z.K. Temirgazina

Tokatova L., Agmanova A.

摘要

The work is dedicated to the anniversary of Professor Zifa Kakbaevna Temirgazina. Professor’s research activity is analyzed, that is connected to developing theoretical and applied questions of linguistics and its directions such as linguistic axiology, pragmalinguistics, linguistic gender studies, political linguistics, we show the scientist’s role in creating her own linguaxiological scientific school, we define her role in training scientific-pedagogical personnel for graduate school of Kazakhstan. Reviewing scientist’s works allows to demonstrate a new way to a category of assessment, that is developed in her research, the idea of it is to define syntactic method as the primary linguistic method of expression in this category – in evaluative statements. Based on the analysis of the scientist’s works that are dedicated to highly variegated language phenomena, we show multi-discipline characteristic of her scientific findings: language is viewed in immediate interdependence and correlation with cultural, historical, cognitional, psychological, communicational facts. The scientist’s research results became the foundation for emergence of linguaxiology and development of pragmalinguistics as modern scientific ways in linguistics of Kazakhstan and received further development in works of students of her scientific school.

What is attractive about the facets of scientific and literary creativity of Vladimir Georgiyevich Rudelev

Kostyuchuk L.

摘要

The scientific heritage of Vladimir Georgiyevich Rudelev, a well-known scientist, the founder of Tambov linguistic school is analized. We focus on the works of the scientist, which are primarily devoted to the aspect of the language’s ancient layer – Russian and Slavonic writing. Vladimir Georgievich’s works are distinguished by the use of different methods which successfully complement each other: both etymological and comparative, and the use of methods of related disciplines, ethnography in particular. Slavic material related to graphics allowed the researcher to conduct an etymological examination on a wide background of the written signs’ names with an attempt to establish these stages of the written signs’ system with the identification of ancient, sacred meaning in addressing the concepts, traditions of the Christian faith. For an explanation of ancient Slavic traditions, the author naturally addresses different data from ancient languages to modern Russian patois; it is known that this is one of the sources of language cognition in ancient times, as well as toponymy. In the first decades of the second half of the XX century, Vladimir Georgievich became known both as a modern and perspective and a very interesting phonologist, for whom the strict organization system of units of the first language level with attention to synchrony and diachrony is important. V.G. Rudelev chose a promising opposition method for his subsequent various studies, grammatical ones in particular. He used it to make observations and discoveries in the field of Russian language parts of speech.

Potanina N.

摘要

The poetic heritage of V.G. Rudelev, a famous Russian linguist, doctor of philological sciences, professor of Derzhavin Tambov State University, is analyzed. It is proved that in V.G. Rudelev’s poetry metaphorical models connected with comprehension of the world’s precedent phenomena of culture are of special importance. At the same time, cultural phenomena acquire the poet’s most unexpected conjugations with lyrical plots, which gives poetic imagery a deep semantic perspective. The result is a blurring of the line between household and ontological, between different historical epochs and different cultural experiences. The analysis is made on the example of the poems “Dandelion” and “Flight of the Golden Dragonfly in the Poet’s Garden”, in which the conceptual core is presented by a set of metaphors that encode the notion of “life” in different ways: life – struggle; life – game; life – serving an idea; life – creativity; life – flight (risk). In poetic discourse, these metaphors resonate with the reader’s long and rich cultural experience, which many times multiplies their implicit energy capacity and gives the artistic imaginary a special semantic perspective. We come to the conclusion about the decisive role of metaphorical models in the representation of the author’s world picture and the formation of the artist’s original idiostyle.

V.G. Rudelev and issues of the traditional folk culture study

Makhracheva T., Loskutova D.

摘要

The scientific concept of Professor V.G. Rudelev, which has influenced the formation of problematics connected with the study of traditional folk culture language in the region, and was further developed in the researches of his students, making up a significant part of the scientific heritage of the Tambov School of Linguistics, is analyzed. The main focus of the researchers is on the development of the ideas of V.G. Rudelev's Candidate's dissertation, devoted to the study and description of the ethnographic vocabulary of the people's dwelling on the Ryazan land (published in Ryazan in 1995). V.G. Rudelev proposed a complex approach to the description of lexical material, which allows to consider the material not as isolated lexical facts, but as a complex system, in which all words related to the lexical composition of each patois are simultaneously opposed to each other and interconnected with each other. We establish that V.G. Rudelev’s dissertation had an innovative character and has not lost its methodological significance for modern science and is conceptually important for the study of Tambov dialects. In fact, representing a new stage in the development of philology, the work of V.G. Rudelev became a methodological basis for the collection, description and interpretation of the local tradition and contributed to the successful work of the Tambov scientific school representatives in collaborative programs at the all-Russian level.
