The Experience of the VOHR–VNUS Troops Fighting Banditry on the Territory of Ukraine during the Civil War

The article examines the historical experience of the struggle of the VOHR-VNUS troops with insurgent and bandit manifestations on the territory of Ukraine during the Civil War. Special attention is paid to the armed struggle against banditry and the protection of the rear of the Red Army. On the basis of archival documents and documentary sources, characteristic examples of the service and combat activities of the personnel of the law enforcement forces against the anti-Soviet movement, Ukrainian gangs and the main ways of using the troops of the Armed Forces to ensure public security in the region are shown.
