Abstract
The green belt of Moscow, together with the nearest forests of the region and plantings of the city, was supposed to form an integral, extensive system of landscaping of the capital. The share of the green belt accounted for the health-improving function associated with improving the microclimate and opportunities for mass suburban recreation. The green Belt was designed to prevent the merger of suburban development arrays. The cities of the green belt were important links in the overall urban development concept of the capital and the entire Moscow agglomeration.
