多年来，法医学鉴定人参与处理有大量人员伤亡的紧急情况的后果一直是一个热门话题。每年都有越来越多的报告涉及在大量人员伤亡的情况下，包括在武装冲突中，组织和提供法医学支持的问题。
本报告试图重新解释法医学鉴定人在涉及大量人员伤亡和失踪人员的紧急情况下的任务和原则。
在国际和国内经验的基础上，需要开展工作，使记录基本信息和死者识别特征的程序和算法标准化。
标准化的工作算法和标准化的表格是确认死者身份的过程重要组成部分，允许简化和正规化登记、描述和进一步交流关于无名尸体信息的过程，避免错误和遗漏。
